How to Eat Healthy

Life stinks when you’re overweight and out of shape! Most people are dragging along, forcing themselves out of bed, moping out to get some unhealthy caffeine in their blood just they can function. You don’t have to live like that! You can be awake, energized and alive!

Conventional ideas aren’t always right. In this blog post, I share how we eat healthy food and have for many years. Our family is very healthy and energetic. Vegetarian? Vegan? Organic? Raw? To meat or not to meat?

 

The Closer to Nature It Is, The Better

I know that there are so many different philosophies and so many different diets about being healthy and I know that they are so confusing though. Well, I think that you just need to study it out and go through what you feel, what you think and what you sense and keep in mind that the more alive it is, the closer to the natural state and the less processing is the better!

  • Try to eat as natural as you can and get the good food in your body. Try to stay away as you can from the processed stuff, because the more chemical the food is the more you should stay away from it.
  • Try to eat everything that you know is good and will bring you good energy.
  • Eat all different kinds and variations  of food so that your body can benefit from everything.
  • Stay away from all the junks and garbage.

Studying history and looking at the people who lived on natural food show that their energy level and their dental health were at high level.

That’s why we personally buy raw milk from our local farmer where we live (Costa Rica), we eat natural meat and get the most of the mother nature.

Input Determines Output

What you get in your body is what you get out. Eating well will have a huge influence on your energy levels and make you feel so alive. So try to eat as healthy as you can.

Avoid fast food, junk food, white sugar and white flowers and get as natural as you can.

Take a good look at what you are eating and at how you are living and get some good, a good healthy diet, put good fuel in your body and your body will respond. You will feel awake, energized, you will sleep better and live will be great!

Life is so much better if you are healthy!

 You Are Killing Yourself!

Well, I want to be clear with you and I want to be a little bit –in your face– , hoping you make some changes. Well, a lot of people are literally committing suicide! They are killing themselves through what they are eating and that is not okay!

I am going to challenge you to cut that out and to eliminate it! There is enough great food that is healthy and good for you. Trust me! You don’t have to eat the garbage! I mean there is enough great food around the world, there are  healthy delicious ways to feed your body. Is it really that hard to eat healthy food?

Is it really too hard for you to eat well?

Is it hard for you to:

  • Eliminate white sugar from your diet completely?

  • Eliminate white flour as much as you can?

  • Lower oils?

  • Eliminate gases and soda from your diet?

Here’s an answer for you, NO it is not that hard! YOU CAN DO IT!

So minimize your intake process food and eat vegetables, fruits, and natural food! And I promise that you will feel alive and energized!

Here’s My Story

Greg DenningLet me tell you my story, at sixteen I got into this whole body sculpting, I wanted to be in a phenomenal shape. So I realized what the chemicals do to the body and then I cut out all the soda, the carbs, caffeine, white sugar and everything that’s not good for the body. To be honest, my diet was not perfect but it is great though and I felt fantastic! I always have the energy that allows me to enjoy my life!

Here’s a Challenge for You
Let me challenge you today to make some changes. I challenge you to get rid of the “not good food”. Don’t bring it to your home because this is the first step. Well, I know that it is really hard for a lot of you at the beginning, I mean resisting ice creams and desserts can be really hard  at the first years,but after, once you eliminate that from your system, it will become somehow easier for you. After that you will be good, great, alive, energized and in a fantastic shape! You will start experiencing life on a higher level!

So the easiest way to do that is to keep it out from your house. So do your homework. Start your list and put in it what you need to eat and what you should eliminate.

We really have one chance to take care of our bodies. So let’s take good care of it. Start today! Eliminate the garbage, bring in the good and LIFE WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER!

Our body is the most valuable asset we have and it is the housing of our spirit. Moreover, our body is the instrument of our mind, that’s why we’ve got to take excellent care of it. We should view and treat our bodies as if we were Olympians. We should be at the best shape of our life so that we can be at the top of our game. So when challenges come, our bodies are ready to take the challenges and even go beyond.

You know, as well as I do, that when you are not feeling well, it even affects your mind and emotions because it is all connected. That’s why we’ve got to make sure that our bodies are in excellent conditions.

Food & Fitness

Eating delicious food is one of the greatest blessings in life! I am so grateful actually for the great talented people who share wonderful meals with us. BUT, a lot of us are killing ourselves by the things we put in our mouths.

Many people, ironically, have died for the lack of food and nourishment. Likewise, we can now say that many people had led themselves to death by overeating!

But you and I can do something about that right now!

 

How to Do That?

We can determine to eat better food and better amounts today and every day. And we can encourage our family for better eating habits as well. You and I are going to be healthy and fit only if we disciplined ourselves.

Do not give up what you want most, which is health and fitness, with what you want at the moment which might be a tasty dessert or a big piece of pizza.

You’ll Be Shocked! Yup, the Statistics Will Shock You My Friend

Here we go!

The number one cause of preventable death is tobacco!

470+ are dying each year from tobacco and a lot of those deaths include second-hand smoke. Whether you put it in your mouth or just smell it from someone, it stills very dangerous.

So no more smoking!

If you have a smoking habit just discipline yourself and be ready to do whatever it needs you to do to take that off your life.

I can’t believe that many people are killing themselves each year because of tobacco use!

Number two is obesity.

Obesity is the number two cause of preventable death in the United States of America.

Being overweight or obese increases the risk of death. Actually, no one gets there by accident, it is our own choice! But if it happened and you are there, you can get to where you actually want to be the most.

We ought to always be in the best shape of our lives!

Can’t you do that because you are old? Well, let me tell you my friends that age is just a number!  

We cannot use age as an excuse and there are so many examples of people who have proven that.

For example, there is a woman who never climbed a mountain and started training in her 60s! And climbed mountains at her 70s. Amazing! And so age is just a number and we cannot use that as an excuse!

Let’s jump back to obesity.

So, how do we define being overweight?

People are generally considered obese when their body mass index (BMI), a measurement obtained by dividing a person’s weight by the square of the person’s height, is over 30 kg/m2, with the range 25–30 kg/m2 defined as overweight.[1]

It is reported that 31% of adults are obese and 34% are overweight. So roughly, there is about 65% of adults in the US are either overweight or obese. So if you want to be at an optimal weight, you’ve got to have the right percentage of body fat.

What is the cause of obesity?

With few exceptions, it really comes to one dominant cause which is calories in vs calories out. It is about how much you put in your mouth and how much you burn in physical activities. So a calorie is a calorie regardless its source.

If you are overweight, you obviously need to have a calorie deficit. Meaning, you want to burn more calories than you consume. And there is two ways to do that:

  • You can either decrease your caloric intake.
  • Or, burn more by vigorous exercise.

 

You Are Not a Victim!

I want to make this very clear. We are not victims! Nobody forces us to eat garbage and unhealthy food. And nor do you and I accidently eat things. You are the only one who can choose. So this is really simple, it is not easy, but it is simple.

“That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed but that our power to do has increased. Once you flash your system, it will adapt and change. ”

Do you want to be fit? Then do whatever it takes you to get there!

So begin today by eating a third less of what you normally used to eat. If you are not satisfied with the conditions of your body right now, then decide right now to change.

Some of you might be attempted to say that it’s going to take so long to lose weight. Well, the time is going to pass no matter what you do! So by this time next year, or even sooner, you have the choice of being fatter than you currently are, the same as you are, or better and healthier! The choice is all yours.

By Choosing Your Path You Already Have Chosen Your Destination

 

The destination of where you are going depends on the path you are on. So remember, when you choose the path you have chosen your destination!

The path that you take today of what you eat determines your destination tomorrow. All you have to do is eat well and exercise today and keep do it all the rest of your life.

So cut off the junk food, cut off the soda, cut off the extra calories and all that garbage out there. And remember, do not sacrifice what you want most with what you want at the moment.

So count those calories, define where you want to be and discipline yourself to achieve what you want.

Life is about the things we consistently do and consistency is what shape who we are.

Even as different as we all are, if you follow the laws of good health and fitness you will get the reward.
